Feelings are part of being human! All these feelings are completely normal.  What is important is how we express our feelings.  We all need ways to let our feelings out in a healthy way.  This is called emotional regulation.

Origami Wishing Stars

Create these amazing puffy stars using strips of paper.  Write your wishes on the paper and fold into a star.  What is your wish?

Create a Journal

Make a journal to record your feelings.  Use colours and design your own mood scale from 1-10.  Track how you are feeling each day.

 

Grounding exercise

Try this easy grounding exercise to help you if you are feeling a bit unsure or unsettled.  Using all of your 5 senses can create calm.

A Little Box of Calm

Here we can learn how to create a box of items that may help soothe us when we feel sad or worried.  using all your senses will help soothe you.

Make your own Play Doh

Using modelling dough is great for our emotional expression. You can keep the dough soft and reuse this as many times as you like.

Go outside - nature connectedness

Taking notice is one of our 5 Ways to Wellbeing. We will be using our senses to connect with nature mindfully as we go outside for our walk.

Here we can learn how to make a glitter bottle that may help calm us when we feel sad or worried.  Sit quietly and mindfully watch the glitter settle in your bottle.
